This is caused by one of two issues.  The first is that Microsoft Office 64-bit is installed.  Currently, only Office 32 bit is supported.  There is no workaround with this.

If this error continues, then it might be because Office 2013 “click to run” is installed.  Click to run performs a minimal installation of Office, and does not install items such as development components.

 How to identify Click-to-run Office 2013:

If you have Microsoft Office 365 subscription or use its trial version, it most likely means that your Office 2013 desktop applications are Click-to-run.

One of the ways to identify if you are running Click-to-run Office is by going to Control Panel, Programs and Features, selecting Microsoft Office 2013 and clicking on “Change”. In the opened window you will see different options depending on whether it is a full or Click-to-run version. Click to run will pop up a box that reads “How would you like to repair your Office Program.”
