If the Security Group for the User has the settings for “Bill Prep-Excluding Bill Values” set to Full this will block the User from being able to edit the bill value field in Bill Preparation. 

This has to be set to NONE to allow access. The setting is designed to have one check box allow for easy blocking of access to certain features of the billing part of the program. Many firms block regular Users from doing anything in Bill Prep except text editing. This helps firms share the workload in the billing process without having to worry about a “non-accounting” User making unauthorized edits to bill fields. Some firms will allow some Users to assist with invoice production, to a limited extent, via security settings.
