You cannot delete a Timekeeper if there is any activity in the system for the Timekeeper’s ID. Instead, you should inactivate the Timekeeper. To do this, open File Maintenance Manager and access TOOLS, Manage Users. Locate and open the User record in question and then choose TOOLS, Inactivate User. You may still invoice any time associated with the ID and apply payments to accounts receivable associated with the ID. You may include inactive Timekeepers on reports; however, their IDs will not be available in any Timekeeper Filters. In other words, if you run a report such as the Summary of Hours Worked Report and include inactive Timekeepers, the Timekeepers will be included. You cannot, however, run the report solely for the Timekeepers’ IDs as their IDs will not be available in the list of IDs to choose from in the filters.
If at some point you need to run a report just for the Timekeepers’ IDs and assuming you have enough Timekeeper licenses available, you can activate the Timekeepers’ IDs by opening the User records and choosing TOOLS, Activate User.
