Financial Management
We are switching banks and need to move both operating funds and retainer funds to the new bank accounts. What is the best way to do this?
For a new Default Operating Account- Once you have created your new operating account and associated it with the new bank that you have set up, you will need to go into Accounts Payable and cut a check to transfer the funds that you want to move into the new operating account.
You may do this by creating a voucher payable out of the “old bank” using the old bank code and then put in your distribution line (the debit side) the GL operating account for the “new bank”. Pay the voucher. This will take care of the General Ledger transactions (Credit to “old bank” operating account and Debit to the “new bank” operating account.) It will also take care of placing an “outgoing” check in bank reconciliation for you. Then deposit the check into the new bank…

I am printing out today’s view in the Calendar, how do I get this to print on one page?
The Print Calendar function in Orion prints what you “see” on the screen. If you are having trouble seeing your entire day on the screen, try the following:
Try scrolling down a bit using the scroll bar next to the calendar to display all of the relevant appointments on screen You may simply need to scroll to the start of the workday or first appointment. The shaded area in the “non-working” hours may not be needed to print. If you adjust your screen to display just the “working” hours, you can get more to display on screen…

Tech Tip
How to Fix Word’s Formatting Defaults
– Barron K. Henley, Esq., Partner at Affinity Consulting Group
Many people are frustrated with the default formatting Word 2007/10/13 applies to new documents. If you have to change the typeface (Calibri), the size (11 pt) or the justification (left) for every new document, there’s an easy way to make those changes permanent so they will automatically be built into every future document you create. To make all of the following changes to Word’s default Font, Paragraph & Section formatting, just launch Word and open a blank document.
1. Change Your Default Font Formatting: If you don’t like Calibri 11 or Word’s other defaults related to Fonts, simply follow these steps to fix them:
A. Click the Launcher in the Font Group on the Home Ribbon. This will make the Font dialog appear.
