The Format Toolbar

The Format Toolbar provides the ability to modify objects in a number of ways.  You can change the font size, style and color.  You may underline, bold or italicize text or justify the contents of an object.

Font Name – the name of the font chosen for the selected object(s).

Font Size – the size of the font chosen for the selected object(s).  The drop down contains common font sizes but you may enter a custom size by typing in the bx (i.e., enter 7).

Bold – sets the selected object(s) to Bold – click again to turn off Bold.

Italic – sets the selected object(s) to Italics – click again to turn off Italic.

Underline – sets the selected object(s) to Underlined – click again to turn off Underline.

Left Justify – left justifies the contents of the selected object(s).

Center – centers the contents of the selected object(s).

Right Justify – right justifies the contents of the selected object(s).

Justify – not available in Orion.

Font Color – sets the font color of the contents of the selected object(s).

Highlight Color – sets the background color of the selected object(s).

Bring to Front – allows you to move an object in front of other objects. Use this option to control the appearance of overlapping objects.  You may use the Report Tree to see the exact layering of objects within a band.

Send to Back – allows you to move an object to the back of other objects (i.e., use when you want a Shape to print as background).  Use this option to control the appearance of overlapping objects.  You may use the Report Tree to see the exact layering of objects within a band.
