Summary of Hours Worked vs. Timekeeper Productivity

Print this article

The Summary of Hours Worked Billed Hours column represents the time entered during the report date range that has been billed – regardless of when it was billed. For example, on a report date range of 6/1/15-6/30/15, the Summary of Hours Worked Billed Hours column represents all fees from June 2015 that have been billed, whenever they were billed (it is likely that they were billed during the month of July in this example).

The Timekeeper Productivity Billed Hours column represents fees billed during the report date range. For example, on a report date range of 6/1/15-6/30/15, the Timekeeper Productivity Billed Hours column represents fees that were billed during the dates of 6/1-6/30/15 (the fees were likely from May – whatever was invoiced with a 6/1 to 6/30/15 date is the billed hours in this example).

Therefore, if the Timekeeper asks you how many hours of her June time was billed – look at Summary of Hours Worked.

If the Timekeeper asks you how many of her hours were billed/invoiced during the month of June – look at Timekeeper Productivity.

When you run Summary of Hours Worked, remember that you can choose Original Value or Billed Value to print out in your Billed columns. Billed Value is on the client invoice.
