You may not delete a General Ledger Account that has any history attached to it (even if the account balance is $0.00). Instead, you may flag the account as “Inactive”. This will prevent it from being used in the future. You may also merge the account into another account by using the TOOLS, Merge Accounts feature. If there has never been any activity on an account (entered in error and never used), you may delete it by calling it up in the Entry window, clicking the DELETE Button and confirming the deletion.
