Fee Entry Date Restrictions Changed but User Still Able to Enter “Old” Time

Print this article

There are four things that could cause this:

1.  If the User is not set as a restricted User, the date restrictions do not apply.

2.  If the Date Restrictions apply BUT you do not have the “Enforce When Editing Existing” option checked, the User could have modified an existing transaction.

3.  The Date Restrictions are read upon initial entry into Orion.  If the User was in Orion when you changed the Date Restrictions and had not exited Orion after you changed the date restrictions, the User would have still been working off the “older” date restrictions until they exit and re-enter Orion.  After you change the Date Restrictions, the User must exit and re-enter Orion to read the new date range.

4.  The fee was entered through iOrion.  Whenever the minimum/maximum dates are changed, the orionappserver service on the Orion server needs to be stopped and started to read the setting change.
