To delete or edit words erroneously added to the Spell Check dictionary, you will need to call up the file named ORION.DCT in a DOS Editor, WordPad or a Word Processing program that allows you to save a file in ASCII DOS/Text Format.  The general Orion supplemental dictionary shared by all Users is located in the …\orion\orwin folder on the Orion server.

With the file open, make the necessary changes (if you are using a word processing program such as Word or WordPerfect, you may use the program’s spell checker).  Once all changes have been made, save the file in an ASCII Text Format.

If an User is set to use a private dictionary (set through User Entry), the supplemental dictionary will be named %USER%Dictionary.txt and depending on the operating system can be located in several places. The best way to locate the file is to open Windows Explorer and search for %appdata%.

Once %APPDATA% has been located, access the Orion folder and then the Shared Folder.  You should then see the file you need to edit.
