Just as you cannot spell check two documents at a time in your word processing program, you may only have one process running at a time in Orion. If you want to be able to perform other actions in Orion while a report is running, you may run your report(s) from the standalone reporting module.
To create a shortcut to the program file, right click on your Windows Desktop and choose New, Shortcut. Click BROWSE and open the drive on which Orion resides (typically o:\). Drill down to the \orion\orwin folder, locate and highlight the file named orionreporting.exe.
Click the NEXT Button and on the following screen enter a name for the shortcut (i.e., Orion Reporting). Click FINISH and a new icon will appear on your Windows Desktop.
If you open the Orion Reporting module, the Orion Reporting System will appear exactly as it would if you clicked on the Reporting System icon through the Orion Desktop. It is, however, a different executable (program file). Choose and run your report and you can go back into Orion Desktop to perform your other duties.
