The Align or Space Toolbar is used to align or space objects so they have a uniform appearance. For example, it can align several objects so that the tops are all even or it can space objects so that they have an equal amount of space between them. The first object selected determines the position to which the other objects are adjusted.
Align Left – aligns the selected objects with the leftmost position of the object that was first selected.
Align Middle – aligns the selected objects based on the horizontal center of the first object selected.
Align Right – aligns the selected objects with the rightmost position of the object that was first selected.
Align Top – aligns the selected objects with the topmost position of the object that was first selected.
Align Centers – aligns the selected objects based on the vertical center of the object that was first selected.
Align Bottom – aligns the selected objects with the bottommost position of the object that was first selected.
Space Horizontally – spaces the selected objects based on the leftmost position of the first selected object and the rightmost position of the last selected object.
Space Vertically – spaces the selected objects based on the topmost position of the first component selected and the bottommost position of the last selected object.
Center Horizontally in Band – centers a selected object horizontally within a band.
Center Vertically in Band – centers a selected object vertically within a band.
