My Quick Doc Clip is Missing

Click on the Contacts icon in your task bar.

Highlight/select a Contact.  Right click, and choose Quick Doc.

Double check that the Quick Doc Clip that you want is set up in the first place and listed. Also check to see if it is set to Public so other Users can see it if needed.

If it is already listed and appears not to be sending any data to the clipboard, double check the fields that are selected under the Field Selection Tab and double check under the Clip Setup Tab where it is set to send data to the Windows Clipboard.

If in fact you do not see the Clip listed at all, it may need to be set up again from scratch.  To set up a new Quick Doc Clip click on New Clip.

Edit the Quick Doc Clip by clicking on the Field Selection Tab and check mark the fields that you want to be captured/copied to the Windows Clipboard or a document.

On the Clip Setup Tab, you must specify the Name of the Clip.

You can specify under the Action field if you want the data to be sent to the Windows Clipboard, a New Document, or an Existing document (or None – in which case it simply prompts you at the time you do the Quick Doc). Typically it is set up for Send to Windows Clipboard and will allow you to simply paste data into any document needed. You may also specify if you want it to prompt you to create a Journal at the time you choose the Quick Doc function.  You may also choose to set up a Quick Key letter to speed up the selection of the Quick Clip. This helps if you have numerous documents.
